What causes low blood glucose (sugar)?
Low blood glucose, or low blood sugar, is called hypoglycemia. It is when your blood glucose is below 70 mg/dL.
Low blood glucose (hypoglycemia) may happen when:
- you do not eat enough food
- you take too much insulin or other diabetes medicines
- you are more active than usual.
This may happen very quickly and could cause you to pass out if you do not treat right away.
